Marko Grilc Died: What Was His Cause Of Death?

Marko Grilc died in a snowboarding accident in Sölden, according to Slovenian media.

Snowboarder Marko Grilc has died at the age of only 38. The tragedy was reported by e.g. Total Slovenia News, which has published on its website the news of the Slovenian Press Agency (STA).

According to Slovenian media, Grilc died on Tuesday in commercials in Sölden, Austria. He suffered a fatal head injury after falling on a snowboard and hitting his head in a rock-clad rock.

According to APA, an Austrian news agency quoted by Total Slovenia News, an attempt was made to resuscitate Grilc at the scene of the accident, but nothing could be done. The first aid team that arrived found him dead.

Grilc was considered the best Slovenian freestyle snowboarder of all time. In the World Cup, he mainly competed in big air competitions, stood on the podium four times, and celebrated a victory in 2010. He also won a medal at the X Games, a win at Air & Style, and four junior world championships. Over the past few years, Grilc has concentrated on shooting snowboard videos, which he used to inspire hundreds of thousands of fans on his social media channels, among other things.

Equipment maker Burton, whose team included Grilc, confirmed the grief on Twitter.

– Our thoughts are with his wife Nina, their children, family, and friends. They all shared his love and passion for snowboarding, Burton’s tweet states.

Marko Grilc is one of the most successful freestyle snowboarders in Slovenia. He placed four times on the podium in World Cup races.

In recent years, Grilc produced material for commercial operators and diligently published landing videos on its own social media channels. He released his last video to his more than 200,000 Instagram followers just a week ago.

Grilc was missed by his pregnant wife Nina and two children.
