Cuban Actress Snd Singer Teté Machado Dies At 89

The Cuban actress and singer Teté Machado died last night at the age of 89 due to pulmonary fibrosis, at Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida, where she was held since last Thursday with a pelvic fracture; as reported by her friend and countrywoman Flor D Loto.

Teté Machado considered a Cuban legend for her artistic career and physical beauty, starred in numerous novels on the CMQ television channel, and filmed the feature film “Olé Cuba”.

Machado also worked in soap operas, plays, and recitals in the United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Puerto Rico, among other countries.

In 1988 she retired from the stage and devoted himself body and soul to fighting for human rights in her native Cuba. In 2018 she published her autobiography: “Teté. The artist”.

The veteran actress lived many years ago with her husband Ariel Hidalgo in Miami, Florida.
