Richard Blum Cause Of Death?

Richard Blum, 86, died after battling cancer. He was a longtime member of the University of California Board(Regents).  

His death was confirmed by her wife, Dianne Feinstein, a U.S Senator for California. The Senator, Dianne, posted this news through her social media.  

“My heart is broken today. My husband was my partner and best friend for more than 40 years,” Feinstein said. “He was by my side for the good times and the challenges. I am going to miss him terribly.”

Furthermore, she mentions he died with his family by his side. 

Blum was a longtime friend of the highest spiritual leader and the former head of Tibet, Dalai Lama.

Blum was the chairman of the American private equity firm, The Blum Capital Partners.

Moreover, Blum was much focused on the Himalayas people; he used to spend most of his time in the American Himalayan Foundation. Blum founded this non-profit organization. This organization helped end human trafficking; it opened glorious doors of scientific medical education for adults and children. Moreover, it helped Tibetans, Sherpas, and Nepalis promote their original culture.

He founded the Blum Center, which aims to foster interdisciplinary, socially engaged research. In other words, it supported students in educating them on how to combat global poverty and how to contribute collectively. 

Blum was a longtime member of the University of California Board of Regents; he worked for nearly two decades. He was the chairman emeritus of the board.

Moreover, he also worked as the co-chairman for an international coalition, World’s Conference on Religion and Peace. He was also a member of the board and advisor of the national geographic international council. Moreover, he was a trustee for a nongovernmental organization, The Carter Center.
