Matthew Perna died on February 25 2022, with a broken heart. On January 6, 2021, Matthew was found guilty in the case of his involvement in the riot at the U.S. Capitol. Reportedly, he was involved in a felony and violation of U.S. policies.
Matthew Perna was 37 years old when he entered the Capitol. He was in the Senate Wing Lobby, where he shot a video for 20 minutes. When the video was uploaded, it was only 8 minutes; the rest was edited. The video was published on his Facebook page. In the District of Columbia, according to the court filings, Perner was found guilty of one felony and was charged with the obstruction of Congress.
At the age of 39, Perna faced these chargers.
On February 25 25, he was sentenced to 20 years of jail. The court officially announced this on March 3, 2022. Moreover, a penalty of $250,000 was also given to him. In addition, there were many other allegations put down by his Neighbours .
The federal district judge determined the decision after considering state guidelines.
The case was looked down on by the District of Columbia and the Department of Justice’s Department of Homeland Security’s Counterterrorism Division. Furthermore, the matter was looked at by the FBI’s Washington and Pittsburgh field offices. The departments were receiving assistance from the U.S. government.
Capitol Police, Washington, D.C, did the last part of the investigation. Police Department recognized Perna as No. 73.
