Dana King, the longtime principal of Millbrook High School, passed away on Saturday, a month before she was to retire from the school. The cause of death has not been revealed yet. However, we are trying hard to reveal the details.

The assistant principal at Millbrook High School, Sebastian Shipp, that the school was informed that she had passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning. All the students, teachers, and staff are trying to cope with her loss.

Shipp continued and said that the grief counselors would be at school to help students and employees to cope with this loss. She further stated in an interview that they are trying to ensure that they must support everyone in this loss. They are giving space to all the students and staff to be sad.

Dana King has been the principal of Millbrook School since 2003. Her plan was to retire on 29th April. She was at the age of 65. Moreover, she joined the Wake County school system in the year of 1986 as an English teacher. She became an assistant principal of Drive High School in Raleigh. Then, she became principal of East Millbrook Middle School in Raleigh in the year 1999.

She was a successful lady with many accolades. Dana King was also named the Wake County school system’s principal of the year in 2010. She will be remembered as a visionary leader.

She will be remembered for her positive influence on her students, parents, and staff. She had made a great impact on numerous lives.

Furthermore, the school district praised her legacy in an email, saying that Dana King was an exemplary leader with outstanding service and unwavering dedication. Along with that, they stated, she provided during her remarkable tenure with Wake County Public School System.

They further wrote in their email that due to her positive attitude, she would be remembered throughout the lives of many. They asked everyone to pray for her family, colleagues, and all the school community in their prayer in this difficult time.
