Coy Gibbs, the father of the 23XI Racing Cup Series driver replacing Kurt Busch, was one of the co-owners of the team with former NFL Head Coach and NASCAR Champion as Owner, Joe Gibbs.
JGR released the following statement: “It is with great sadness that Joe Gibbs Racing confirms that Coy (Co-Owner) went to meet the Lord in his sleep tonight. The family appreciates all thoughts and prayers and asks for privacy at this time.”
