On April 24, 2023, Ben Sir, a dear friend and bandmate of Worst Days Down, died away. Fans, family members, and friends mourn their beloved’s recent demise.
The cause of Ben’s passing has not yet been made public by his family or the police. The family may reveal more information about the obituary at a later time.
Former Edmonton employee Ben Sir worked for BalconyTV. He also worked at the alternative nightclub Buckingham in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He attended several different universities besides the University of Alberta, where he studied.
His persistent will to succeed in a music business that does not offer nearly as much in return was always motivating. Writing a script, “breaking up with his phone,” and creating his ideal album at Rain City were all highlights of his final year in Vancouver.
The musicians of Worst Days Down, who are in or have previously played in various other bands, including The Old Sins, Audio Rocketry, Fire Next Time, and many others, have honed their live performance skills by touring across the icy winter landscape of Western Canada.
The trio took their live performance even further afield and joined fellow Edmontonians Owl By Nature and other labelmates on tour across Europe to promote their sophomore album, Elsewhere.
