Adam Walker was a rugby league forward for Scotland; he died at 31. A representative for Huddersfield Giants paid tribute to Walker on social media this afternoon (Tuesday), writing: “Huddersfield Giants are very saddened by the news of the demise of our former player, Adam Walker. Adam played for the first squad from 2010 to 2012 after graduating from the club’s academy.
Walker began his playing career in 2010 with Huddersfield, where he made just 6 appearances for the Giants. He made 16 appearances while on loan at Barrow for most of 2011. Walker was moved out on loan in 2012, this time to Swinton, where he appeared seven times and scored twice.
After signing a long-term contract with Wakefield Trinity, Walker left St Helens before the 2017 season ended and moved back to his home county of Yorkshire, according to Hull Live. Before departing in February of the following year. The last professional team he played for was Leigh Centurions, which he later joined.
However, a positive drug test caused him to miss some time from the game before making a successful comeback in 2019.
Walker participated in the 2019 Super League Grand Final for Salford and the 2015 Challenge Cup Final for Hull KR.
