Death of Romy Walthall

Actress Romy Walthall, also known as Romy Windsor, died on May 19 in Los Angeles at the age of 57, a victim of cardiac arrest. Dedicated to modeling before moving to the screen, Walthall moved into the worlds of TV and B-movies, her most memorable role being that of Kimberly, John Travolta’s secretary in Face to Face.

Born in Texas in 1963, Romy Walthall had her first break at age 17, when she won a beauty pageant. That allowed him to sign for the Ford agency and parade on the European catwalks.

Her acting debut came in 1984 with Los albóndigas en soaking, one of those camp comedies that had nothing to do with the film starring Bill Murray, owing to its title more to the rapacity of Spanish distributors.

In 1984, she had a role in A Club Girl, a telefilm based on Gloria Steinem’s famous investigation into the squalor behind the Playboy emporium. From that moment on, we saw her as a secondary in series such as Moonlight, Couples War, The X-Files, Los Angeles Law, and Murder One.

After retiring in 2011, Romy Walthall worked as an acting teacher in Los Angeles. She leaves behind three children, one of whom is an actor and director  Morgan Krantz (Girls).

With several points in independent productions in the 1980s, the artist got her first starring role in 1989, with the release of ‘Born of Darkness’, a horror production directed by Jerry Bruckheimer and starring the actor Oliver Reed. In 1997 she brought John Travolta’s secretary to life in “The Other Face”.

It is especially in television series that the public will discover it. Indeed, we will find her as a guest in popular shows such as Hooker, Quantum Code, The law is the law, Moonlight, The law of Los Angeles, Matlock, The cruise has fun, Diagnosis: Murder, or even X-Files. But it is especially in the series Hotel Malibu that Romy Walthall will be noticed, playing alongside a promising young actress: a certain Jennifer Lopez, alias J-Lo.
