Goa Police has claimed to have solved the suicide case of Kanchana 3 actress  Alexandra Djavi. The girl committed suicide in North Goa’s Shivoli last week. Police investigation revealed that he committed suicide after being harassed by a photographer in Chennai.

While working in a Tamil film, a photographer had taken her picture and the young man was blackmailing her by threatening to make it viral with this obscene photo.

She had lodged a complaint with the Chennai Police. Young Russian woman  Alexandra Djavi was living in Shivoli with her friend. During the investigation, the police got clues about her death from the statement of her friend. This young woman had achieved success by working in the Tamil film industry.

Her death has sparked controversy in the film industry and on social media. There are mixed reactions on Facebook and Twitter in Russia regarding her death. It is shocking that a young Russian woman who had come to India to study Tamil culture and achieve such great success died suddenly in Goa.

“When her [ex] boyfriend arrived at the house, she found the front door closed from the inside, and no response from the deceased,” said an employee of the building where the actress lived in the local newspaper Time of India. According to the publication, she suffered from depression, which worsened with the end of the relationship.

It is worth adding that in 2019, the actress filed a sexual harassment complaint against a photographer from Chennai, India, who was later arrested. She is also expected to be questioned in the investigation. “I was informed that the woman was harassed and blackmailed by someone in Chennai,” said Vikram Varma, representative of the Russian Consulate.
