The Salvadoreño cartoonist Hugo Nelson Serrano, creator of “Neon War”, died this May 2 because of lymphatic cancer that he had suffered for more than a year. The news was confirmed by the social media accounts of the digital cartoon.

Unfortunately, he could not give you a few words but as a family we know that he was happy and satisfied with all your support. The young man had more than 600,000 followers on YouTube and began battling the disease since May last year when he was diagnosed with cancer.

“I hereby inform you that the Neonwar videos are suspended for health reasons, since the creator is diagnosed with cancer and we need your help,” he published at the time.

Serrano battled the deadly disease by undergoing various chemotherapy treatments. The young man had traveled to the United States since last Saturday, February 13, in search of medical alternatives. since, as he assured in a video posted on his Facebook page, he was not suitable for a bone marrow transplant.

Serrano’s videos accumulated millions of reproductions, among the most viewed are: Tremors, Far Brother, the clinic, Christmas and New Year.
