William Visty passed away on the 5th of January, 2023. At the age of 16, Will Visty drowned and died. He was Ella Jo’s identical twin.
Will was swimming with two of his brothers in the rental home’s tiny pool that evening, according to his mother, Mandy Visty. He had been trying to swim laps without getting out of the water for air, but he eventually passed away, there is currently no information about the funeral arrangement
His mother claimed that despite their efforts to give him CPR and remove him from the water, he remained unresponsive. He had left by the time first aid personnel arrived.
According to his mother, Will was on the school swim team and enjoyed swimming, wakeboarding, tubing, and fishing as a child. She claimed that he overextended himself.
In a Wednesday Facebook post, Creighton Prep requested prayers for the family as they honor Will’s life with the neighborhood. The message stated, “We are eternally grateful that Will shared his abilities with Creighton Prep.”
Over $15,000 has been raised for the Visty family through a GoFundMe campaign. The fundraising, according to Mandy Visty, was created to help with the expense of bringing Will home. His father, Tommy Visty, twin sister Ella, younger sister Reese, and younger brother Owen are among the survivors.
Will was quick on the soccer field, could mentally calculate math problems, and could scale trees. He also adored water. Swimming and diving off the dock, he caught a football in the air. He skied and rode the wakeboard.
He scaled rocks and rode enormous ocean waves. On trampolines and picnic tables, he hosted outdoor sleepovers. Younger children trailed behind Will in fascination as he interacted with them, kicked the ball in their direction, grabbed them lures, demonstrated casting techniques, and helped them unhook fish from their rods.
Will came up to baseball games without any shoes and to soccer in flip-flops. He once participated in a baseball game wearing swimwear. Everyone laughed. He shared their laughter.
