On October 12, 2022, Tony Ray Winchester, 69, who rose to fame as rsgloryandgold on the streaming service Twitch, passed away from brain cancer.
On October 14, the message “Tony has passed away” was posted to the content creator’s Twitter account. The family has not yet revealed his funeral arrangements.
Tony Ray Winchester had a solid reputation for running enterprises. He was well-known for RSGlory AndGold and had started an online gaming community almost seven years earlier using Twitch’s platform. Rumor has it that RSGLORYANDGOLD and Runescape have become his obsession and possibly the most passionate and kind-hearted community on earth.
Winchester rose to fame after he began running a brand-new video game workshop next to his house a few years ago.
Over the years, Winchester also owned other businesses, such as a restaurant and a print shop. He had traveled to many nations due to his professional obligations, including India and the Philippines. Later, he relocated to Missouri.
Winchester started playing Runestone for the first time in 2004 at his niece’s and nephews’ urging. But he didn’t launch his Twitch channel until 2015 at the earliest. Tony Winchester collected 1,000 followers on the day he started streaming. His channel’s total number of views reached one million in less than four.
His admirers adored Winchester due to his endearing character, sense of humor, and expertise in Runestone.
Winchester had a YouTube account called RSGloryAndGold in addition to his Twitch channel, where he often posted videos on his health, his Runescape games, and updates on his daily life.
Five days before passing away, Tony decided to pre-fund his funeral and created a GoFundMe page for supporters to donate to his family at this trying time.
Will also pay his funeral expenses out of the money. The page lists a $50,000 target; as of this writing, 1,300 donations totaling more than $40,000 have been made.
