An American political activist on the far right who is anti-Muslim, a conspiracy theorist, and an internet personality is named Laura Elizabeth Loomer. On May 21, 1993, she was born in North Miami, Florida, in the United States.
Despite having two younger brothers and growing up in a wealthy family that she described as “not super political” and “not very religious” while nevertheless being Jewish. Loomer is not yet married and has no children.
Loomer enrolled at Mount Holyoke College, but she dropped out after just one semester. She remarked that being conservative had made her feel insecure. Loomer went from Mount Holyoke College to Barry University, after which she got a bachelor’s of broadcast journalism.
In the 2020 United States House of Representatives elections, she was the Republican candidate for Florida’s 21st congressional district; however, she was defeated by Democrat Lois Franke.
As a result of being banned from several social networking platforms for several offenses, including violating the policies against hate speech and spreading false information, Loomer made headlines.
After being banned from Twitter in 2018, she locked herself to the company’s New York office for two hours until police, at her request, broke the handcuffs.
A representative of the Hillary Clinton campaign claims that Loomer and two other women who pretended to be Clinton fans tried to “entrap” campaign workers into taking prohibited cash payments in July 2015. The representative claimed that the campaign followed the law.
Right-wing and Project Veritas are well-known organizations, and Loomer has worked for them to produce privately recorded and falsely manipulated audio and video probes of media outlets and left-leaning organizations. She worked as a journalist for the Canadian far-right news website The Rebel Media in 2017 and occasionally participated in the InfoWars website.
