Vincent Chew, a renowned Emerald Crown Ambassador at BE International and an independent Senior Sales Director at Mary Kay Singapore has lost his life after his long battle with Depression. The tragic event of his death left people shocked and shattered about the suicidal cause of his death.
How did Vincent Chew pass away?
Vincent Chew passed away on December 27, 2023. He died after suffering and battling with depression and took his own life, surrendering himself to the mental illness. The news of his death was announced by his family member on the Facebook page, which stated that he ended his life earlier before noon on December 27, 2023; however, the circumstances of his suicide have not yet been disclosed to the public at the time of this publication.
Vincent Chew’s Journey with Depression
Vincent was always vocal about his depression. He did not hide his mental illness from the public and openly shared his journey with depression. Vincent reportedly fell into a depression last November. On December 13, 2022, Vincent tried to jump from his home’s kitchen window on the sixth floor to take his own life. Fortunately, he survived, but both of his legs were fractured with no severe injuries.
Vincent demonstrated his resilience and bravery by sharing on March 18 his Facebook post about his journey with depression, along with images reflecting his recovery in the high-dependency ward. On his Facebook page, Vincent stated that after his foot and pelvic surgeries, he was recovering well and showed courage and determination to learn to walk on his feet again.
Vincent encountered various challenges due to the depression. He stated that in addition to feeling alone and overworking himself, he felt the depressive events of losing confidence, self-worth, and loss of appetite. Despite facing the challenges of depression and showing his determination Vincent could not defeat the mental illness and succumbed to the depression.
