Tulsi Tanti, founder, chairman and managing director and one of the key promoters of Suzlon Group and Suzlon Energy Limited, passed away due to cardiac arrest. Tulsi Tanti chaired the Renewable Energy Council of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to guide India’s green energy strategies. The 64-year-old businessman from Rajkot, Gujarat is survived by his sons Nidhi Tanti and Pranav Tanti. Tulsi Tanti used to run her business in Ahmedabad and was based in Pune since 2004.

“On October 1, 2022, one of the founders, chairman and managing directors and promoters of Suzlon Energy Limited, Tulsi R. It is with great sadness that we inform you of Tanti’s untimely demise. It was informed that Shri Tulsi Tanti suffered from cardiac arrest and died on the same day. “He suffered a heart attack soon after landing in Pune and died the same day,” said a source in the development.

It can be said that the death of Tulsi Tanti is a big setback for Suzlan Group and Suzlon Energy Limited. He held a media conference in Ahmedabad on Saturday to announce the inauguration of the company’s rights issue worth Rs 1,200 crore on October 11.

“Suzlon Energy plans to repay its debt and use the funds to reduce its interest liabilities, meet working capital requirements & allocate the remaining funds for corporate requirements,” Tulsi Tanti told the media. This is his last press conference.

We are just 2 decades early,” quipped Tulsi Tanti while interacting with the media just hours before her demise.
