Sheldon Bergstrom, an acclaimed actor from Regina, Saskatchewan, has unexpectedly passed away. On Sunday, June 18, 2023, he departed away after a unknown illness in the company of his cherished family.
Dawn Bergstrom published a statement that begins, “Dear family and friends. Sheldon Bergstrom, my dearest friend, one true love and attractive, charming, talented, witty man, passed away this afternoon with loved ones by his side.”
It is unknown what caused his death.

Canadian actor Sheldon Bergstrom performed on stage, on television, and in movies. Sheldon had been involved with Souris Valley Theatre nearly from the start, and it is a true blessing that he had been allowed to participate in their summer productions and played over the years.
In 2014, it was revealed that he had been chosen to play Rob Ford in the upcoming production of Rob Ford: The Musical by Factory Theatre.
Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, Franz in The Producers, Horton in Seussical, Mr Bumble in Oliver, and cameos in episodes of Corner Gas and InSecurity are just a few of Bergstrom’s roles. In Saskatchewan, he frequently hosts Telemiracle telethons.
He effortlessly brings to life the characters in various works of art, including contemporary art pieces. His performances captivate audiences with their emotional depth and compelling delivery.
