Salvatore Stars Dies in Accident – What Happened To Him?

Salvador Garrido, known in the world of music as Salvatore Stars or Elvis from Zaragoza, died this Sunday, August 28, in Zaragoza at 60, after being hit by a car while crossing a pedestrian crossing with a traffic light.

As reported by the local police, the event occurred around 1:30 p.m. when the pedestrian was crossing the road at a time when it was red for pedestrians.

When the accident occurred, the musician was accompanied by a friend who unsuccessfully tried to help him. The consequences of the strong shock were a head injury and several bone fractures in the extremities that finally ended his life.

In this way, an ambulance traveled to the scene with the aim of assisting and trying to stabilize the sixty-year-old who was later evacuated to the Miguel Servet University Hospital in Zaragoza, where he died hours later.

For its part, the National Police is investigating the causes of the accident in which the 39-year-old driver involved tested negative for alcohol and drugs.

Salvador Garrido worked in a gym that he founded more than 35 years ago with another partner, however, his true passion was music. For this reason, he used to become a ‘showman’ who imitated and covered very different singers.

His favorite music genres were country and rock’n’roll. In addition, among his references were Elvis, Sinatra, and he also reviewed eighties hits in his concerts.

A regular character at the Pilar de Zaragoza festivities, as well as at tributes and galas, he took his main musical steps with the Rock 60 group, with versions at the age of 15 or 16. He had recorded several albums and was very proud of the song My City.

He performed throughout Spain, from Catalonia to Galicia and Andalusia. In addition, the musical Viva Las Vegas had just premiered.

In 2008 he presented the song Libre como el viento to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest. In his cover letter he confessed to being a follower of Elvis, Tom Jones, Sinatra, and Kenny Rogers.
