The Highlands neighborhood in Kentucky was the scene of a multiple-victim vehicle accident early on Sunday, which Louisville Metro Police Department officers are looking into. According to online accounts, a man died in the fatal collision around two in the morning.

Five additional people were taken to the University of Louisville Hospital by the Louisville Metro Police and Louisville Ambulance after their injuries were determined not to be life-threatening.

Pierce Walker, a Louisville, Kentucky, resident who had previously lived in Miami, Florida, had been determined to be deceased at the scene of the accident. The Oldham County man attended Louisville, Kentucky’s Saint Xavier High School.

Dwight Mitchell, a spokesman for the Louisville Metro Police Department, stated that at around two in the morning, Fifth Division officers responded to a report of a car accident on Lexington Road close to Grinstead Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the six-car occupants were traveling west on Lexington Road when the driver lost control and hit a railing and a tree.

Alcohol may have played a significant role in this incident. As a result, one man passed away at the scene, and five other people, including the driver, were taken with non-life-threatening wounds to the University of Louisville Hospital. After the incident, law enforcement officers cleaned up the area. No other information was immediately made public.
