One motlhabakgomo, also named One P Kinty, was a 19-year-old Molepolole-born girl. She was a resident of Lekgwapheng and went missing on November 15 at around 11:00 am. The Molepolole police authority was actively searching for the teenager, and after struggling days and nights, the girl was found but unfortunately dead.
How Did She Went Missing?
One motlhabakgomo went missing mysteriously. She was a young girl from Molepolole in the Lekgwapheng District. According to the information from the family, she was the elder among her siblings and graduated from Moeding College in 2022.
On November 15, 2023, tragedy struck when a young girl, known as ONE was reported missing. At approximately 10 a.m., she was last seen at the residence of Mr. Arthur Chabale, who had generously provided her a place to sleep in the church adjacent to his home.
According to the local pastor, Mr. Arthur approached him around 2 p.m., requesting to borrow a car for grocery shopping. Later, Mr. Arthur delivered the groceries to the pastor. However, an unexpected turn of events unfolded.
The pastor received a distressing call from Mr. Arthur, revealing that he had mistakenly given the car keys to individuals associated with Sprinter, a public transport service in Gamodubu. Subsequently, the vehicle was tracked down in Gamodubu, abandoned along the roadside, with blood stains discovered inside the trunk.
When questioned, the pastor expressed ignorance about Mr. Arthur’s whereabouts with the young girl and lacked information about Mr. Arthur’s family. Concerned for ONE’s safety, a missing person’s report was promptly filed with the Molepolole police, who initiated an active search for her.
Missing Girl Found Dead
Tragically, the search for ONE took a grim turn when residents of Gatlhoka land reported a suspicious grave to the Molepolole police around 8:00 p.m. the previous night. Officers watched the site, leading to a devastating discovery at 9:00 a.m. the following morning.
ONE’s lifeless body was uncovered beneath a pile of litter and matlhakola branches, with certain body parts packed in bags. The condition of the body was appalling, and identification was only possible through the clothes found at the scene.
Given the distressing state of the body, the deceased’s family is urgently requesting a burial within two days. Law enforcement is actively investigating the matter, and arrests are anticipated in the near future. In the wake of this horrifying incident, our hearts go out to the family and friends of ONE. The community mourns the loss of a young life, and we await justice for this heinous act.
