Unfortunately, no family member or a close friend has spoken anything regarding Morgan Taylor’s funeral details on the media.
Gordon and Elizabeth Taylor’s son was born in Kettering, Ohio, on September 5, 1969. His father passed away before him. In addition to children Harvey and Ridley, mother Elizabeth, sister Ann, brother Grant (Katherine), nephews Scott, Owen, and Silas, niece Rae, and deeply committed friends in both the United States and the UK, Morgan is also survived by his wife of 18 years, Rachel Loshak.
He gained attention as a performer in the 1990s Dayton music scene and later in the Lower East Side of New York City, where he first met his wife, Rachel, at The Lounge Room. There, in 2004, they were married. Morgan and Rachel made their home in the Hudson Valley, where they kept their close friendships with locals.
With his skills in music and cartooning, Morgan created the World of Gustafer Yellowgold and started sharing it with kids and families. He traveled the world with Gustafer Yellowgold, performing on tour in Korea, England, and the United States. He also received two Grammy nominations.
Taylor stated that he wanted to be a comic book artist when he was younger and to go to New York City to become an illustration in an interview with Dayton in 2015. His wife advised he write a children’s book after his rock band parted ways in 2003.
When we first met, he was the sound engineer at the Living Room on Stanton and Allen. He also wrote songs and created the beautiful universe of Gustafer Yellowgold. According to Nora Jones, he left a smile and a ray of light in everything he did. So many individuals who were touched by his friendship, creativity, and imagination will miss him.
