On March 5, 2023, Kayla Dravis posted on Facebook to confirm the news of Dr. Merlin Van Zee’s passing. The third day of February 2023 saw the death of Merlin Van Zee.
Merlin Van Zee died abruptly and unexpectedly, leaving friends and family grieving. In addition to being an exceptionally gifted, talented, and caring veterinarian, Dr. Merlin Van Zee was also the best friend, mentor, and supreme admirer of dad jokes.
It isn’t revealed what the exact cause of death was. The family might announce funeral services at a later time. Everyone remembers him and posts condolences and homage to him on social media.
“We are devastated to report the demise of our beloved Dr. Van Zee. In addition to being an exceptionally gifted, talented, and kind veterinarian, he was also a best friend, mentor, confidant, and the world’s greatest fan of dad jokes. Our hearts have been broken. We will miss his leadership on our team, his fun, and his gift for making everyone feel unique and at home. We are a family here at Summer Street because he shared our joys and sorrows, prayed with us, and cared for us. Our “brother” is no longer with us.
Please remember his wife, Magon, and their family, as well as our doctors and staff, in your thoughts as we attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks. Please give us time to mourn our tragic loss with grace and patience. We are devastated, and that is an understatement. By continuing to put our hearts into the work we do, the care we give our patients, and the dad jokes we come up with, and we aim to make him proud. Merlin, you are very loved and missed.”
