A woman died in a tragic incident at the Maya resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Kiara Agnew, a 23-year-old woman from Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, has been named the victim.

According to sources, on March 3, while the 23-year-old woman and her 26-year-old boyfriend Rayn Friesen of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, were vacationing at the Riviera Maya resort hotel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, police were called to the property’s Princess Hotel, where a Kiara was found dead.

The couple had been dating for almost a year, according to Roberts. Friesen plays ice hockey for the Dawson Creek Canucks in the North Peace Hockey League.
