Renowned Kenyan actor and comedian Kinyash, also known as Alex Wamatu, is grappling with the most heartbreaking loss of his life as he mourns the loss of his beloved mother on a social media post. The departure of the actor’s mother left him heartbroken and devastated.

What happened to Kinyash’s mother?

Kinyash revealed her mother’s illness in February 2023 when she was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease, cancer. He further expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the medical staff at Kijabe Hospital and their kindness for his mother; however, on January 21, 2024, he met a heartbreaking tragedy after losing his mother on his Facebook page in which he stated a heartfelt goodbye caption to his mother.

Kinyash, also known as Alex Wamatu, is a remarkable comedian who became famous for his role on KBC’s comedy series ‘Classmates’. Kinyash was a native of the village of Mwimuto in Kiambu County. At an early age, he learned resilience, kindness, and hard work and was raised by a single mother.

After graduating from high school, he faced multiple challenges of tough life and unemployment, leading him to start his entertainment career in 2009.
