The wife of obstetrician Renato Kalil, Ilana Kalil, died at age 40 in the early hours of Monday (14) in São Paulo. The police registered the case as a suicide. The nutritionist leaves two daughters and her husband.
According to UOL, the São Paulo Security Secretariat, which confirmed the case, will not disclose further details about the death.

Renato is the doctor accused by Shantal and Mateus Verdelho of obstetric violence for having used methods refused by the then-pregnant woman and still cursing in leaked audios.
Ilana even defended her husband on social media at the time, sharing reports from patients who defended Renato Kalil. The case came to light in December 2021.
