Ian Joseph Kessel, a former high school football player from Haverhill, Massachusetts, has sadly passed away. At 26, he passed away on March 8, 2023, a Wednesday.

Ian was a star performer on the basketball floor, and the football field, noted for his quickness and agility. He kept playing basketball in local leagues and just signed on with a semi-pro football team in Worcester, Massachusetts, intending to return to the sport in the fall.
In North Andover, Massachusetts, Ian recently launched a gaming and recording studio and has put much effort into growing the company.
With his fiancée Vanessa, Ian recently spent four months in Naples. They loved in spending time at the dog beach there with their puppy Isa while they were there. Ian loved to travel. Ian has spent much time traveling with Vanessa over the last few years.
He visited California, several Florida regions, and his favorite location, Las Vegas, where he enjoyed seeing live performances, playing poker, and strolling the strip. Together with Vanessa and Isa, Ian cherished taking long walks in the countryside. Also, he loved going to Celtics and Red Sox games whenever he could.
Ian was a kind and giving person who had a deep and abiding affection for his parents, sisters, and Valerie Menzies, his grandmother, with whom he had a very close and special relationship throughout his life.
Vanessa Veloz, with whom Ian was expecting a daughter in April, was profoundly loved by Ian and was also loved by her. He also adored Kailani, his four-year-old daughter. He also leaves behind extended family in Germany, the neighborhood, and his mother, grandmother, sisters, and children.
