How Did Kyle Sambrook Die? Hiker Found Dead With His Dog

Kyle and his four-legged best friend would climb Buachaille Etive Mòr Mountain.

A man and his dog were found dead during an intensive location search in Glencoe, Scotland.

Kyle Sambrook, the 33-year-old victim, left his West Yorkshire home on Saturday, February 18, for a campsite in Glencoe with his pet Beagle Bane puppy. However, neither of them returned home on February 21, the date the hiker was expected to arrive.

It was thus that the search work began to locate Kyle and his pet, who unfortunately was found lifeless on February 25.

The victim’s relatives have already been informed of the finding, although the identification of the body has not been confirmed. Even so, indirect victims have thanked rescuers and requested that their privacy be respected.

“The rescue team, Glencoe Mountain Resort never stopped. They were determined to find them both. Forever grateful that they never gave up hope and stuck to their guns,” Cole Leung, a friend of the victim, posted on

Kyle and his puppy were last seen in Bane, an area located in Lost Valley. It is said that the hiker would climb more than a thousand meters from the Buachaille Etive Mòr mountain, however, he did not succeed and he never returned home. Now only the memory of him remains.

“Fly high, my friend. I hope you are on a new adventure with your best friend. They may both be gone, but they will both never be forgotten,” Cole added.
The case has touched the hearts of several Internet users, who mourned the death of the hiker and offered their deepest condolences to the family.

“Sending love and prayers to all of you. It’s so sad I wish the outcome was so different for all of you,” Tracy said. While Jen added: “What a sad end to the story.”
