The former ARY TV reporter and anchor, who had relocated to the African country after finding it hostile in Pakistan following Imran Khan’s removal from the government, was reportedly shot dead there.
A Pakistani news anchor, Arshad Sharif, has been killed in Kenya, his wife announced on Monday, months after he fled his country to avoid arrest on sedition charges.
Arshad Sharif was a journalist critical of his country’s powerful military and a well-known supporter of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who was expelled from Parliament last April by a motion of censure.

Sharif formerly worked for ARY News and had travelled to Dubai after resigning from the network. He was seen in London just a few days after arriving from Dubai.
Following the news of Sharif’s death, condolences began pouring in from across the country.
