His mother sent a sincere greeting to him on Facebook with the following statement:

“My beautiful baby boy, Ethan Bailey, where do I start? On day one, you were perfect in every way except you had a fever. A sickly little fellow you were the first few years. And boy were you rough on a pair of shoes (you still were). You loved the Yankees and Ole Miss right away. You even had a Yankees jersey that you wore and washed every day for almost a complete summer. You loved anything that would let you be outside as a kid. Matchbox Cars were the first stop at Walmart. Then the love of baseball came along, and around the world, we went. Time to go to college came quickly, and everyone already knew where you were going…OLE MISS.

Today starts a new journey, one that no longer includes you are texting, calling, or walking through the door. Tonight you are resting in the arms of Jesus.

I’m thankful for every second that God allowed me to have you here on this earth, and I long for the day I can hold you in my arms again. I held you first, and tomorrow I will keep you last. Rest easy until we are together again. I love you always.

Love, Mom.”
