NEW YORK, USA.- Tony de los Santos, the surrealist painter from Santiago de los Caballeros, brother of the historian, art critic, and painter Danicel, died at dawn yesterday in the United States. He was 65 years old.

His death occurred while he was being treated at the Lebanon Hospital, on Grand Concourse Avenue in Bronx County, New York, due to covid-19. His widow Germania Vialet and his son Jeffrey de los Santos confirmed the information.

Modesto (Tony) de los Santos was born in Puerto Plata, but his family immigrated to the city of Santiago in the mid-1950s, precisely in 1956, the year of his birth.
