David Yun, a self-made Entrepreneur team lead of the Eighty8 group, passed away in a tragic car accident in Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, August 31. David was a real-estate developer who was an expert in luxury/residential homes, condos, and income properties. He was a multi-award-winning agent on a team that had ranked second globally.

Who was David Yun?

David started his business when he was sixteen years old. He founded His first company, Small Empire, in the 90s, a chain of skate shops and a skate park. David promoted skateboarding even when skateboarding was banned in public spaces. He built skate parks in Chelsea Piers and Central Park in New York City.

David started in real estate and founded Eighty8 Group in Los Angeles. His profound dedication and enthusiastic efforts made his company one of the country’s top-performing teams in less than a decade. He was named one of the Top 100

Real estate Agents in LA Business Journal were mentioned in the Wall Street Journal’s Real Trends List many times. He became top half of the top 1% of all real estate professionals in the country. He was invited to deliver a speech at Zillow and Compass events nationwide.

David loved his family. He once sold his business to spend quality time with his two sons, Lucas and Zeke. He loved to spend time with his family. Apart from his family, he was known for his love of eating, traveling, skiing, and golfing with his sons.

David was loved by all who knew him. He was an excellent negotiator, working with buyers and sellers enthusiastically and seriously. He protected his client’s interests with great care. Everyone who came to know him was impressed by his charisma and warm personality.

What happened to David Yun?

He was met with a car accident in Santa Monica, CA California. Witnesses at the scene reported hearing tire screeching sounds and a collision. His car collided with another vehicle.
