Damiano Rotolo, a talented young athlete from Aberdeen, New Jersey, who tragically passed away on March 26, 2023, is just one reminder of how common deaths among young athletes are today.
Ursinus College announced the passing of Damiano Rotolo via a Facebook post, saying.
“Damiano Rotolo, who was only with us for a short time, taught us all how to be better listeners through his words and actions. His contributions sparked a great deal of conversation. He was the kind of person who makes his surroundings better.”
The entire community is in shock and mourning due to the tragic and sad news. It is unknown what caused him to pass away. Everyone is paying him tribute and expressing their sorrow on social media.
On March 30, 2023, from 4 to 8 pm, Damiano’s visitation will occur at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Morganville, New Jersey. On Friday, March 31, 2023, at 10:00 am, St. Clement Church in Matawan will have a funeral service (Marlboro Cemetery).
Damiano Rotolo was described as “one of a kind” by his coaches, teammates, and friends. He is a native of Aberdeen, New Jersey, and a Matawan Regional High School alumni. Other than that, Dam was a skilled wrestler who developed a love for the sport at a young age.
Everyone Dam knew considered him a buddy and a fantastic teammate. He had a unique talent for making people laugh when they needed it most, and it was clear how much he loved everyone. He drew others to him. When he arrived at Ursinus, Dam was an outstanding student-athlete with a promising future.
