According to sources, Monica Cannon-husband Grant’s Clark Grant died in a motorbike accident last night.
According to WCVB, a fatal motorbike accident occurred last night in Easton near the junction of Routes 138 and 106. Grant and Cannon-Grant resided in Taunton, readily accessible by Route 138.
There is no information known on the funeral rituals.
In October 2021, federal law enforcement officers searched Clark Grant’s Taunton house; he was then taken into custody and charged with unemployment fraud.
Grant had claimed that the COVID lockdowns had caused him to lose all of his income, but he was being paid by Cannon-fictitious Grant’s NGO and his position as a transit employee.
He submitted a $410,000 mortgage application to buy their Taunton home, but because his account lacked the necessary funds, he listed the nonprofit’s corporate account as a personal asset.
Monica Cannon-Grant is fighting 27 criminal counts in federal court after being accused five months after her husband. The accusations include using donations from the group for personal expenses by Monica and Clark, including a spa trip to Maryland that Monica publicised.
As the unemployment office grew suspicious that Clark and Monica were abusing the system, Clark contacted Monica to let her know he had been discovered. Monica then advised him to tell the government that VIB had been closed due to the pandemic to avoid being caught.
It is unknown how this will impact Monica’s legal case or whether she will use his passing to win the court’s pity and sympathy.
She wrote about her husband’s death on social media today before taking it off. Her past behaviour suggests that she won’t keep quiet for very long.
