Louisiana, downtown: The Shreveport community is going through a tough time as they are mourning the death of the Andress Artist & Entrepreneur Center Developer of Shreveport, Jim Malsch, who passed away on 6 October 2023 Friday morning due to medical illness, leaving the entire community in shock and mourning.
The news of his death was declared by a Facebook post from the Andress Artist and Entrepreneur Centre that says
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Shreveport business leader and entrepreneur, Jim Malsch, passed away early this morning from a medical event.”
The Passing of the great entrepreneur leader shook his friends and those who knew him, showing their heartfelt condolences and expressing his kind nature to them.
Who was Jim Malsch?
Jim Malsch was born and hailed in Shreveport, LA. He graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1981 and was passionate about music. Jim toured the United States playing bass for a local Reggae band after his brief stint at Louisiana State University Shreveport. Still, he was unable to make himself famous for over a year. Later, Jim attended the Northwest Louisiana Technical College in Information Technology, and from there, he began his career as an IT Systems Engineer/ Technician for a national computer company.
Jim Malsch Career
Jim was a systems engineer at Business Land JWP for approximately seven years, from 1987 to 1994, located in Shreveport. He started co-founding Enterprise Computing Services, LLC (ECS) in 1994. From 1994 to 2018, Jim departed with ECS to start up JRM Ventures, LLC, with a mission to positively impact individuals, companies, and the community to help all of them achieve success.
In 2019, He and his company, JRM Ventures, purchased the Andress Ford Motor Company, located at 717 Crocket St… With the vision to bring back the historic building.
Jim Malsch was the humble and patron saint of entrepreneurship in Shreveport. His interest in computers made him grow one of the largest computer networking businesses. He had invested in local businesses to help local entrepreneurs. He also played a vital role as an active community member.
