On Georgia 81, a grey Lexus SUV was making a left turn off Ozora Church Road to travel north. A Walton County school bus was also traveling south on Georgia 81 and was about to stop at the crossroads with Ozora Church Road.
A stop sign only for traffic on Ozora Church Road controls traffic at this juncture. The Lexus driver, however, did not give way when making the left turn, which caused the school bus to cross in front of them. As a result, the Lexus and school bus were involved in an accident.
Fortunately, nobody got injured while the bus’s two passengers—the driver and her two kids—were being driven. The Lexus driver, Ashley Callahan, tragically died at the crash scene.
