Angel Riley Faith Dies After Brave Cancer Battle, Leaves Community Devastated

A beautiful angel after fighting cancer, Riley Faith, passed away, leaving everyone inconsolable and in shock.

Riley Faith, 7, was a resident of the Simpsonville neighborhood in South Carolina. She was a cute, kind girl, but most importantly, she was a youngster whose valiant fight against the dreadful disease brought an entire region to a standstill.

Riley died away and is no longer suffering, her family announced today. When Riley Faith was diagnosed at age one, doctors gave her a less-than-average chance of surviving.

The family will provide further information later on the funeral and burial rites.

Riley Faith has been diagnosed with adrenocortical carcinoma, or ACC, a disease. It is rare, aggressive, and challenging to treat.

Riley Faith was discovered to have a large tumor in her adrenal gland that was the size of two grapefruits in September 2016. It had reached her lungs before it was taken out.

She received chemotherapy for four cycles, but none of them could appreciably diminish the tumor’s size.

Riley Faith was given a 20% chance of living for three years in 2019. The prognosis for her continued survival for the next five years was 10%.

Riley resided about an hour’s drive outside of Charlotte in Simpsonville, South Carolina. She battled an uncommon diagnosis. This happy young girl lived in a family with her parents, two sisters, and grandma.

Tributes:

Everyone is mourning the loss of the lovely Riley and sharing tributes and sympathies on social media.

“We awoke this morning to the sad news that precious little Riley Faith had lost her battle with cancer. We had the amazing chance to give her the gift of unwavering love a few years ago—a puppy. Riley gave him the name Button. Her closest companion, Button, stood at her side constantly. Until they meet again in paradise, I know he will miss her.”

“For Riley, relax, little girl. You have impacted countless lives without even realizing it. No family should have to say goodbye to their babies; bless her family.”
