The Steven Scrivner – Chair, Jessamine County Board of Education family is mourning the loss of Abby Dobie, a longtime West High teacher who died in a car wreck yesterday.
The details regarding the accident are unknown at this time, as law enforcement agencies are investigating the tragic accident to determine the possible cause of the car accident.
Abby Crawford Dobie was the daughter of former Executive Director Tim Crawford. Tim shared that his eldest daughter was a gift from God, a daughter, wife, mother, teacher, friend, singer, and lover of God.

Abby’s husband and children – Mike, Travis, Jaiden, and Eleanor; Abby’s sister Hannah; Tim and his wife, Angela; and other family and friends who God has graced through Abby’s presence are her survivors.
Details regarding the funeral services will be posted by the family soon, so her loved one can attend the final rituals of her.
Abby was a remarkable woman with excellent attributes in both her professional and personal lives. She has talents that came from God. She was a wonderful, lovely woman who was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She was regarded as the best teacher by her students.
