Former PRI legislator Enrique Jackson Ramírez died this Wednesday at the age of 75 due to a heart attack, the party reported.

Through its social networks, the PRI spoke about the death and sent its condolences to the politician’s family.

The party described his death as a heartfelt loss and highlighted Enrique Jackson’s work for the progress of Mexico.

The Sinaloa-born politician was a political advisor to José Antonio Meade’s campaign for the Presidency of the Republic in 2018.

From 2016 to 2017 he was a member of the Constituent Assembly of Mexico City.

He was also a delegate of the CEN of the PRI in Nuevo León, president of the Colosio Foundation and technical secretary of the party’s National Political Council.

In 2005 he ran as a tricolor candidate for the presidential election.

From 2000 to 2006 he served as a senator in the LVIII and LIX Legislatures, where he held the position of president of the Board of Directors, president of the Political Coordination Board and member of the National Defense Commission.

On social media, party colleagues expressed their condolences.
