Actress from São Paulo died at the age of 68 on Wednesday (1) and marked generation as director Olívia of ‘Carousel’
Noemi Gerbelli, who died at the age of 68 on Wednesday (1), had a trajectory in the artistic sphere with passages in theatre, cinema, and television. Although she has been marked in the last decade by the role of strict director Olívia de Carrossel (SBT, 2012), a character who also played in the series Patrulha Salvadora and in films derived from the soap opera, the actress has worked for Globo, Record, Band and Rede TV! throughout her 50-year career.
With her career starting in the early 1970s, Noemi gained visibility by acting in theatrical comedies such as Trair e Coçar é Só Begin , Vacalhau e Binho , Porca Miséria and As Alegres Gulosas .
On TV, she made her debut in the educational Telecurso, in 1978. Later, she joined the cast of soap operas in the Band, such as Renunciation (1982). The approach to children and young people started with Braço de Ferro (Band, 1983), a plot with a strong appeal to children that had Selton Mello – still a boy – in a central role.
Established in theater, Noemi was part of the cast of the program Dóris para Maiores, an attraction that mixed humor and information shown by TV Globo in 1991, presented by Dóris Giesse. The attraction was the first to have the participation of the Casseta & Planeta group.
Still in humor, she participated in the series Ô, Coitado (SBT, 2000), A Diarista (Globo, 2007), Sem Controle (SBT, 2007) and Show do Tom (Record, 2008/2010). Noemi also entertained the audience as Dona Porpeta in the series Vila Maluca, shown by Rede TV! between 2004 and 2006.
NOVELS
With passages for different stations, Noemi had Deus Salve o Rei (Globo, 2018), in which she played Mother Benedita, as her last soap opera. At Globo, she had also participated in Esperança (2002), A Favorita (2008) and the miniseries Presença de Anita (2000).
Among the children, in addition to Carrossel, the actress played Carinha de Anjo (SBT, 2016), again playing Olívia Vequer.
Without revealing the cause of her aunt’s death, Vannessa made a post on social media in honor of Naomi.
