Morelia, Michoacán. Baltazar Gaona Sánchez, mayor of Tarímbaro, died this morning due to complications from COVID-19.
Various information has confirmed the death of the five-time mayor of that municipality, including the deputy Octavio Ocampo, president of the Board of Directors of the LXXIV Legislature of the State Congress, published a notice on Facebook in which he laments the death of the municipality.

In recent years, the deputy Baltazar Gaona García confirmed that his father was intubated and very delicate, so he expected a “miracle of God” for his health.
For its part, the Tarímbaro council, in the voice of Treasurer Iran Peñaloza, acknowledged that the municipality’s health status was diminished.
“The municipal president himself, in an act of responsibility, chose to voluntarily submit to medical treatments and recommendations that imply the necessary rest from his activities in order to restore his physical condition and be in optimal conditions to exercise the attribution that The people of Tarímbaro have given it, ”said Peñaloza.
