THE STORY, UP TO THE MOMENT
“The Umbrella Academy” follows the Hargreeves family, made up of Luther (Tom Hopper), Vanya (Ellen Page), Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Diego (David Castaneda) and Number Five (Aidan Gallagher ); who were born the same day to women who were not pregnant. These unusual births caught the attention of an eccentric billionaire, who adopts them (actually buys them) to, he says, save the world.
But this adoptive father is very distant with the children, who wish only look for some affection. Eventually, everyone leaves the house, some more resentful than others, and living separate lives. But the father’s death brings them back together, this time for real, to save the world. For this they have the help of Number Five, who was in the future and has information to figure out how to solve the tragedy.
In the final episode of the series it is revealed that Vanya is responsible for the end of the world, this because his power destroys the Moon and the pieces of the satellite, attracted by the planet’s gravity, cause the death of all human beings.
THE NEW EPISODES
In the final episode of Season 1 of “The Umbrella Academy,” the Hargreeves brothers travel back in time to escape the end of the world. They all end in Dallas, as the preview of the series shared by Netflix shows. Dallas, as is known, is the city where US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.
The preview begins with Number Five, who realizes that the Soviet Union has invaded Dallas. Then, in full battle, his brothers appear, who have developed their powers. Five escapes disaster with the help of Hazel (Cameron Britton), who is now an old man.
