Biography of Rod Wave
She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and her parents separated when she was in primary school. Since he was little he started in music. Supported by his father, who gave him a microphone, and his brother, who gave him a computer, he began recording his first tracks when he was in fifth grade. Initially, it was just a hobby. Everything changed after his father was arrested and the family faced various financial problems. Then he became involved in the world of drugs and the streets. However, fame would come a year later with his debut album PTSD (2019) and the single Heart On Ice. The video of the latter was a trend on YouTube and the song ranked # 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. He was followed by Close Enough to Hurt and Cuban Links and already in November he was releasing his second album, Ghetto Gospel (2019). Ghetto Gospel featured 15 songs and some collaborations, including the already released Cuban Links and Heart On Ice remix. Sky Priority, Green Light, Dark Conversations and Abandoned were some of the most listened to songs on the album.
He closed the year with the releases of Dark Clouds and Misunderstood and began 2020 with Thug Motivation and Thief in the Night. In March 2020, he returned to the charts with his third album Pray 4 Love. The album debuted at # 2 on the Billboard 200.
