Robert Gordon Cause Of Death & Net Worth At Death

Robert Gordon, a well-known performer of neo-rockabilly, has died. On Tuesday, October 18, he passed away at 75. The musician suffered acute myeloid leukemia for some time; however, the precise cause of his death has not yet been made public.

His family had started a GoFundMe account to help pay for his treatment. Officials have not yet announced any details for the funeral.

Robert Gordon, a musician, born in Bethesda, Maryland, credits Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” as one of the significant influences on his career choice. In a 2010 interview, Gordon claimed, “I listened to music nonstop growing up. It provided fresh perspectives. Gene Vincent, Billy Lee Riley, and Eddie Cochran were further inspirations.

Gordon made his recording debut with a group called the Confidentials when he was 17 years old. He lost interest in the British Invasion bands during the 1960s and started listening to R&B artists like Otis Redding and James Brown.

Robert responded, “I didn’t,” when asked how he linked to the 1960s. He wasn’t a big fan of the British Invasion, but he connected with soul singers like Otis Redding and James Brown, among other great R&B stars, who he saw live at Washington, D.C.’s illustrious Howard Theatre. Robert served in the National Guard in Washington, D.C., during the unrest of the late 1960s, which included riots and anti-war demonstrations.

The 2020 album Rockabilly For Life, which included Spedding, Paul Shaffer, Albert Lee, James Williamson, Linda Gail Lewis, Kathy Valentine, and others, was Gordon’s most recent release.

This past summer, he was supposed to tour with Spedding, Anton Fig, and Tony Garnier throughout the United States and Canada. Still, he had to postpone those dates due to his leukemia health problems.

We estimate his net worth, which he accrues through his singing profession, will be roughly $1.5 million.
