Marciano Cantero, leader of the legendary Argentine rock band Enanitos Verdes, dies.
A kidney condition has ended the life of the famous musician, a beloved star in Latin America.
The Argentine composer and singer of the band Enanitos Verdes, Horacio Eduardo Cantero (Marciano Cantero), died this Thursday at a clinic in the province of Mendoza, due to kidney disease.
The leader of one of the most important rock bands that Mendoza gave to the South American country died today at the private sanatorium, Clínica de Cuyo, after an operation in which a kidney and part of his spleen had been removed.
One of the record companies with which the band worked, Pop Art Discos, confirmed the news through its Twitter account.
“We regret the death of Marciano Cantero, singer of the Enanitos Verdes. A great artist left but above all a great person who leaves an indelible mark. Our condolences to all his loved ones,” they published on their social networks.
The members of the Enanitos Verdes uploaded an image with a black ribbon to Instagram to announce that they are in mourning for the tragic death of Eduardo Cantero, better known as Marciano Cantero.
Also, national and international personalities paid their respects to the artist who knew how to conquer an entire generation of the 80’s, 90s and part of the 21st century.
The Mexican rock group, Molotov , fired him through his social networks upon hearing the news and with whom they shared more than one stage.
“We are going to miss you carnal Marciano Cantero, rest in peace,” Molotov posted on Twitter accompanied by an image of a 2013 recital.
In Spain, David Summer, leader of Hombres G , who toured the United States with the Argentine band, with whose members they had years of friendship, has also lamented the death of Cantero on his social networks, whom he has not hesitated to describe as “brother”.
