The model was recently accused after being convicted of assault against his mum Beau Lazenby, at her home in Melbourne, Australia.
Nick Cave, the renowned Australian singer-songwriter and actor, confirmed Monday that his eldest son, Jethro Lazenby, has died at the age of 31. The model died two days after he was released from prison, where he had been held for physically assaulting his mother, model Beau Lazenby
“It is with great sadness that I can confirm that my son, Jethro, has passed away,” the multifaceted UK-based singer said today in a brief statement released by the British music publication NME.
In the note, the 64-year-old Bad Seeds frontman adds that he would be “grateful” if “right now” his family could enjoy “privacy.” It is worth mentioning that the musician did not want to give details of the cause of his eldest son’s death.
It is worth mentioning that Jethro only met his father when he was 8 years old and had several legal problems. He was even accused of assaulting his mother.
In July 2015, Nick Cave had already lost an heir. Arthur Cave fell off a cliff in Brighton, UK, after using LSD. The recently released albums “Skeleton Tree” and “Ghosteen” were based on the story.
Who was Jethro Lazenby, son of Nick Cave
Lazenby, who worked as an actor, photographer, and model and also used the name Jethro Cave, had been in prison earlier this year for assaulting his mother, model Beau Lazenby, in Melbourne, according to some media outlets.
