Clark Middleton Dies: How did Actor And Director Die?

Clark Middleton, the actor, writer, producer, and director, known for various roles in Twin Peaks, Law & Order, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, and The Blacklist, has passed away at the age of 63.

Clark Middleton’s agent, Steve Stone, confirmed that the actor died of the West Nile virus Sunday at his home in Los Angeles. The virus can be found in mosquitoes and has no cure or vaccine.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a life immanently worthy of celebration: Clark Tinsley Middleton, 63 – beloved actor, writer, director, teacher, hero, husband, beacon, friend. Clark made the transition on October 4 as a result of the West Nile virus, for which there is no known cure. Clark was a beautiful soul who spent his entire life pushing boundaries and advocating for people with disabilities, ”wrote the actor’s wife, Elissa, in a statement.

 

Who was Clark Middleton?

Born in 1957, Clark Middleton was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when he was just four years old. The actor began his entertainment career in 1983 as part of the congregation on the American Playhouse episode “Miss Lonelyhearts.”

Throughout the 1990s and early 1990s, Clark Middleton played various supporting roles in various television titles, including Law & Order, Jonny Zero, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Law & Order: Special Victims. Unit. Other television credits include Gotham, The Path, and especially the third season Twin Peaks. In the 2017 sequel to David Lynch’s mystery crime series, Middleton played Charlie, the husband of Sherilyn Fenn’s Audrey Horne.

From 2014 to 2020, Clark Middleton starred in The Blacklist as Glen Carter, an employee of a Washington D.C. DMV.

Clark Middleton also appeared in several feature films, including Bail Jumper, The Contenders, Serendipity, and Sin City. He also played Ernie in Kill Bill: Vol. 2. His additional film credits include Gutterbee, Trivia Night, Birdman, and Bong Joon-Ho’s 2013 film Snowpiercer.

“The Blacklist” writer Jon Bokenkamp reminded Clark Middleton: “I am heartbroken. In addition to being a truly unique and talented actor, Clark was just an amazing guy in every way. He was a smart movie freak. He loved his I work with passion. And I was incredibly generous of spirit. I was fortunate to work with Clark for the past few years and that relationship grew into a wonderful friendship that I will always cherish. I know that his entire family on The Blacklist is devastated by this news. Clark, it was one of the good guys and we lost it too soon. ”

 

Beyond the screen, Clark Middleton writes and produces the shorts Idee Fix and My Milonga, also directing the latter.
