Actress Arlene Dahl dies at 96, from the classic ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’

One of the most glamorous actresses of the 1950s, Arlene Dahl, passed away this Monday, November 29. It has been confirmed by one of her sons, the actor Lorenzo Lamas, who became very famous in the 80s playing Lance Cunson in the series Falcon Crest.

The actor also wanted to share a message on her Facebook account in which he considers her mother “the most positive influence of her life. ”

To confirm the sad news was the son with a post on social media, but without revealing any details.

Redhead, of Norwegian descent and born in Minneapolis on August 11, 1925, and with more than 40 works in film and television, Arlene Dahl’s most recognized film is the adaptation of Jules Verne’s novel Journey to the Center of the Land of 1959, nominated for three Oscars, visual effects, sound, and sets, and co-starred with James Mason.

Her beginnings were as a model and her first film role, in a brief, unacredited role, would come to her in 1947’s Women’s Resources. She was married six times. Among her, best-known husbands were the actors’ Lex Barker (who came to play Tarzan in films from the late 1940s and 1950s) and Fernando Lamas  (Lorenzo’s father, and whom he met in 1953, during filming. from La Mansión De Sangaree and The Diamond Queen ), as well as wine entrepreneur  Alexis Lichine. She also had a brief relationship, in the late 1940s, with John Fitzgerald Kennedy, then a young senator from Massachusetts.

Her current husband was  Marc Rosen. In addition to Lorenzo Lamas, she had two more children.
