Mourning in the world of African football. Former Zimbabwean player Charles Yohane was found dead. He was 48 and was shot dead by alleged car thieves. As a midfielder, although he was employed as a left-back, Yohane began his career moving from Zimbabwe and South Africa. “He was kidnapped, they took his car and shot him in the head,” said Charles’s despairing brother, who is remembered as a bright, intelligent, and dedicated footballer and human.

Former Zimbabwe, CAPS, and Wits left-back Charles Yohane was kidnapped and killed in South Africa at the age of 48. He was on the Warriors team for AFCON 2004 ″.
Yohane’s former club includes former Manchester United goalkeeper Gary Bailey and former Everton and Rangers defender Richard Gough among his discoveries.
