Maxine Messam abandoned in hospital dies after undergoing “cosmetic” injections in New York.
The woman died at a hospital after two women found her near Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, with “numerous injections in her buttocks.”
Maxine Messam, 53, was taken to a hospital by two women who later fled. Taking her to Jacobi Medical Center around 1:50 am, the woman mentioned that she had been found near Woodlawn Cemetery. They arrived at the medical center in the victim’s BMW SUV.
“We don’t know what happened,” summarized Carlos Simpson, husband of Maxime, 53 years old. “She was at work and she walked out of there. So we don’t know what happened from there,” Simpson told the Daily News.
The woman was left in the hospital naked below the waist, had “numerous injections in the buttocks” and had apparently “placed an unknown substance” for the lifting of that body area, according to the New York Police Department, who are in search of the two suspects who left her in the hospital.
Messam’s son, who declined to give her name, also gave his statement. “Everyone is really emotionally damaged right now,” he said, adding that they don’t have all the details yet.
The causes of death for Maxine Messam will be determined by autopsy.
There have been multiple cases of doctors who are actually scammers offering cosmetic enhancements without a medical license that are highly dangerous.
