It was known today that Dee Booher, better known in the wrestling world as Matilda The Hun, has passed away at the age of 73, according to information from the pastor, Robert Nguyễn, of the church that Booher attended. However, the cause of her death has not been released.

“It is with great regret that we announce the passing of Deanna Booher tonight, January 7, 2022. Queen Kong is a mighty Glamazon warrior who has lived a life of brilliance, guts and glory. She has had her hand in many companies throughout her career. From Roller Derby to film and television, mud wrestling, wrestling like Matilda The Hun in GLOW and even creating the world’s first phone sex business, Queen Kong has dominated them all. ”

Booher was born in southern California and was known in the wrestling world not only by the name of Matilda from The Hun but also by Queen Adrena and Queen Kong. She was considered one of the pioneers in sports entertainment throughout her career. In 2012 the documentary GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling appeared, which told the story and the behind-the-scenes details of a female wrestling promotion.

Apart from the world of wrestling, Booher was present in several films, among which stand out:  Spaceballs and Brainsmasher… A Love Story . Also, in some television programs such as: Married … with Children and Night Court . She also participated in the video for the song Love in an Elevator by the American rock band Aerosmith.
